As in the previous post I have only built one fly rod and found it very enjoyable. What I found when both applying the threads for the rings and drying the dope was how much easier and essential the stonefly dryer was. The dryer comes with a chuck and roller for your rod and as the dryer turns slowly I was able to manage the thread direction from my bobbin onto the eyes extreemly well. The biggest advice I can give when you apply the thread is that if you either overlap or create a gap remove the thread and start again. If you leave it, it really shows when you finish. As when you start fly tying perservere with it and the results will follow.
